1.   First we researched costume designs on the internet.

 2. Next we planned our costumes.

 3. See us practicing our Chucklers dance.

 4. Next pattern and colours were decided.

5. Hard working parents helped with the sewing and stuffing.

 6. Hats, hats and more hats.

7. Makeup is being practiced to see what will suit best.

Life Education Bus - Healthy Eating by J.D.T. and J.D.T. :-)

A class member is hanging up healthy pictures into the different groups.

The class is putting different types of food into different

sections.

Room 2 and Room 4 Singing

Katherine is our reliever teacher.  Everyday she comes in, we sing along with her and her guitar.  

Last week we joined up with Room 4 and had a little concert.  Most of the parents came.  

We sang action songs, played the guitar and had four lead singers.

Cosmodome ! 

Inside the cold igloo shaped antarctic looking Cosmodome, it was dark and very black.

It was exciting going in the Cosmodome.

The man told us all about the seven stars of Matariki.  

I loved looking at all of the connections and shapes of the star names e.g. The Pot.

This is us walking the Clifton Terrace School cross country track.

          

Here we are chatting and having fun with our big buddies.

We went up and down the hills following the trail.

Finally we reached the end.  Our reward was a great big rest during Read and Feed munching our morning tea cheerfully in the sun.

The olive picking adventure started today

 Picking olives with happy smiling faces.

Raking and shaking as the olives fell down.

More Music in Room 2 by U.V. and H.B.

We have been learning about pitch.  We used bhoomwackers and chime bars to create up and down sounds.  We discovered that shorter lengths become higher note sounds.
