On Thursday we had Discovery Katherine. We made scones, had face painting and a pool party with a giant ball.

Hello Lilly we miss you already. We hope you have a nice time in Sweden. It must be freezing going back to winter. Mrs Evans saw very low temperatures on t.v. Science Fair Certificates and Medals by Kate and Leah

Last week at our school assembly Kate received a certificate and Leah a medal. These were received for our efforts at the recent inter-school Science and Technology Fair.

It is sort of unpleasant when you get pulled up by the life vest but once you start swimming

it feels quite good really.

We did scanning in newspapers for specific information. It was awesome. We looked for different things such as: good news, bad news, a job advertisement and some news about a sport.

Kate and I put a lot of hard work into our science fair entries. All of our hard work and perseverance paid off. Our science fair projects were selected to go though to the finals. Harry was second equal with Kate. Jamie came third. Harry and Jamie's entries did not get through to the inter-school finals. The finals will be held in Stoke on Monday the 19 September. I made a splashing volcano. After I poured into volcano some vinegar, baking soda and red food colouring some lava splashed around and over the volcano top.

Tree Planting by Blake and Jack

Room 2 has been tree planting. It was lots of fun and it was really gooey. We planted lots and lots of plants. Richard helped us plant the plants. We got to see the roots on the plants. At the end we found lots of clay. It was wet. After that, we went back to school.

Kahurangi Theatre by Marshall and Luca

Marshall thought it was embarrassing as he held the stick of wisdom. We liked it when the

leader screamed as he chased the bird woman. Marshall is working at being a wisdom guy.

Shared Lunch Time Again - End of Term 2

Mexican Wave - by Josh and Marshall

Every Tuesday Helen teaches us new Fundamental Skills sports games. They are awesome. Helen is a great sports teacher. She has great sport skills. We liked the cool poison ball game. Yesterday we used a parachute to play Mexican Wave. We had fun working as a team controlling the parachute as a group. by Marshall and Josh.

Assembly by Jamie and Kate

On fabulous Friday we hosted an amazing assembly. It was lots of fantastic fun which included some outrageous dancers, but we are not finished yet!!! We enjoyed the keys for learning signs which we presented with swishy music. With total expression we started to read our Ice cream stories and they were extremely yummy! Next there was the good Principal Awards. Mani was the winner in our SUPER class, but everyone else

is a winner even SUPER MRS EVANS!!!!!!!!!! Leah just announced to sing Kiwi Kids. Room 2 and the rest of the school sang in beautiful voices. Suddenly it was over. Good bye!
